Arizona

This strong and sweet mare is Arizona. We wanted to give her a strong name to do her justice. We cannot imagine what she must have been through. Counting and just looking at the various scars all over her body, it must have been a lot. Especially the scars on all four ankles make us shiver. Her character is lovely. She is not afraid of anything, likes to be pet and cuddled and follows you without a halter. But maybe she just likes us - who knows. From now on, she shall have a beautiful life.

The Options

DO GOOD - Donation

Most of the equines are very sick, weak and thin. They need to be taken care of. The donations will exclusively go to the vet costs, food, but also building simple but secure fences and shelters for the animals.

BE A HERO - Parenthood

Some horses are not yet ready for adoption or are way too old or sick to bear any relocation. Or you just want to help a very special one. Through parenthood you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in his or her life.

HAVE A LIFE OF FULFILLMENT - Adoption

Take him or her home. When they are strong enough for travel you'll have the opportunity to adopt a rescued equine and have a life of fulfillment.

We are a non-profit organization in the south of Andalucia, Spain. Horse in Need is about rescuing abused, neglected, disabled and otherwise unwanted horses and donkeys. We are depending on donations, parenthood and adoptions to take care of all the animals and to rescue more.
