Dakota

Dakota was a very shy mare. She was 18 years old when she passed away, had untreated skin eczema and was malnourished, due to very, very bad teeth. Everytime she tried to eat something her mouth was full of blood. Our wonderful vet Louis took care of it right away. Like all the other mares, she was just used as a breeding machine. She gave birth to "La Maravilla" - but it was too early. She was very weak and couldn't get up afterwards. We tried everything to help her - even feeding her baby with the bottle every few hours to help to gain strength again. Her baby had been brave but it was too early for her. She died two days after being born. The situation with Dakota got worse, so we released her from her pain as her was no hope left. Now, both mum and baby are in heaven together. RIP you two.

Other Options

DO GOOD - Donation

Most of the equines are very ill, weak and thin. They need to be taken care of. The donations will exclusively go to the vet costs, food, but also building simple but secure fences and shelters for the animals.

BE A HERO - Parenthood

Some horses are not yet ready for adoption or are way too old or sick to bear any relocation. If you want to help one specific horse - through parenthood you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in his or her life.

HAVE A LIFE OF FULFILLMENT - Adoption

Take him or her home. When they are strong enough for travel you'll have the opportunity to adopt a rescued equine and have a life of fulfillment.
